Missing Month
A downloadable game
When I was a child, my grandmother would tell me of another world. She'd speak in whispers - while candles flicker in the night - about a world of magic so different from ours, a world that steals away time.
"Have you ever noticed when the morning turns into the afternoon in the blink of an eye? Or when summer vacation ends when you're so sure it has just began?"
I nod and she would smile.
"That's when you go to this world of magic, and come back home without any memory of it. Then you leave once more for that world, remembering and starting it all over again."
"All of that time adds up," she would say, "to become the missing month."
Missing Month is a game of remembering and saying goodbye. It is a game to build worlds using timers and a deck of cards. It's also a game made to tell stories and worlds where none existed.
For $10 or more - you get early access to the playtest material which is completely playable, a printable journal/notebook that you can use to write on, and eventually - access to the completed book and printable decks of cards containing the prompts when it's finally done "art and all".
Use it to create your worlds, whether for a home game, or a novel or even an audio drama - all in just 2 hours and 30 minutes.
This game is dedicated to my late grandmother who told me stories by candlelight. Stories about my grandfather fighting monsters to make sure we were safe.
I love you and I miss you.
